DUSHANBE, July 8, 2010, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon today morning departed for the northern Sughd province to get acquainted with socioeconomic situation in the area, according to presidential press service.
During the visit, Rahmon is expected to familiarize himself with activities of a number of industrial enterprises, social facilities and farming units in northern Tajikistan.
Rahmon will also attend a meeting of regional administrators that will take place in Khujand, the capital of Sughd province to review the results of work carried out in the first half-year of 2010.
