DUSHANBE, April 21, 2011, Asia-Plus -- In his address to the parliament, President Emomali Rahmon has called on judges to fight lawlessness and corruption within the judicial system, noting that human being and his freedoms and rights are one of the key components of statehood in advanced democratic countries.
The president expressed concern about cases of violation of legality within the judicial system. “Cases of corruption within the judicial system evokes serious concern of society,” Rahmon stressed.
“Activity of judges should as clean as mirror. They must realize that the government has entrusted the judicial authorities with one of most important values of society – human rights and freedoms,” stated the head of state, “A superficial approach and irresponsibility in this sphere are inadmissible.”
