DUSHANBE, October 9, 2015, Asia-Plus -- The Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) on October 9 endorsed amendments proposed by the government to the country’s code on execution of criminal penalties.
“Under these amendments, prison inmates suffering from tuberculosis will be treated and fed compulsorily,” MP Azizmuhammad Kholmuhammadzoda noted.
According to him, the law enforcement authorities have registered cases when prison inmates refused medical treatment and special meals.
