Rolling blackouts have been resumed in some areas of Tajik capital and five streets and five neighborhoods in Dushanbe will be left without electricity for seven hours today in connection with routine maintenance work on power stations in these areas, according to the Dushanbe electricity supply network.

“Today, electricity supply will be cut off to Shevchenko, Huseinzoda, Qahhorov, Firdavsi and Nemat-Qaraboyev streets from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in connection with routine maintenance work,” an official source at the Dushanbe electricity supply network told Asia-Plus in an interview.

“Besides, electricity supply will be cut off to Energetik, Navbahor, Mehrobod, 63rd and 65th neighborhoods,” the source added. 

According to him, electricity supply will also be cut off to Polyclinic No 8.
