Over the past 10 years alone, the region attracted 150 million somoni of foreign direct investment, which contributed to the provision of a large number of the population with jobs, the president said.

Over the past five years, hundreds of projects totaling more than 200 million somoni have been implemented to solve the socio-economic problems of the residents of the valley over the past five years within the framework of regional development programs.


In addition, the head of state noted in his speech, within the framework of new programs for the development of the area for the next five years, it is envisaged to implement more than 900 projects worth 2.8 billion somoni.

The President noted that to date, in the Rasht Valley, within the framework of several state investment projects, 128 kilometers of power transmission lines, 45 small hydroelectric power plants with a total capacity of 3.2 thousand kilowatt-hours and two administrative buildings for the electric networks of the region have been built and put into operation.

The government of the country has implemented 16 investment projects in the field of roads and transport in the Rasht Valley worth more than 2.5 billion somoni, built and commissioned 614 kilometers of roads and 25 bridges.

Currently, 3 more state investment projects are being implemented for the amount of about 5 billion somoni, within the framework of which 100 km of roads of international and republican significance, 3 tunnels and 20 bridges will be built and put into operation.
