On Thursday June 22, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon signed a number of laws, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
The laws "On the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Tajikistan", "On Licensing System", "On the Provision of a Unit Measure", "On the Telecommunications" and "On the Participation of Citizens in the Maintenance of Public Order" are reportedly among them.
The law on the licensing system was developed and adopted with the aim of supporting and developing business, reducing the permit documents, simplifying and receiving these documents electronically, ensuring the transparency of the permit process. The Unified State Register of licenses, authorization documents, documents of approval and agreement, notifications to be received is attached to the aforementioned law, which includes all types of activities that are allowed and the fees to be paid for obtaining these documents.
Amendments were also made to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Amnesty due to the Legalization of Assets and Funds of Citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan", according to which, the validity of the aforementioned Law was extended until January 1, 2024. Accordingly, individuals and legal entities have been given another opportunity to legalize their assets and funds until January 1, 2024.
The approved laws are reportedly aimed at the progress of economic and social spheres, entrepreneurship, development of electronic documents, protection of human rights and freedoms, prevention of crime, protection of nature, creation of new jobs and raising the standard of living of the people.
