On Wednesday March 13, President Emomali Rahmon and Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) Speaker Rustam Emomali, who is also the Mayor of Dushanbe, attended groundbreaking ceremonies for construction of administrative buildings of three ministries in Dushanbe, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
A new building of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies is being built on Roudaki Avenue in Dushanbe’s Shohmansour district.
The new building of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies reportedly consists of 16 floors and a basement, has 14 meeting rooms, a spacious hall with 500 seats and a dining room for 200 people.
The new building of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies will be built on an area of 65 hectares within two years.
On the same day, they laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new building of the Ministry of Culture.
The administrative building of the Ministry of Culture reportedly consists of 18 floors, 80 office rooms and a basement. It is being built with a modern design and a unique art of national architecture. The building is being constructed in Dushanbe’s Ismoili Somoni district.
President Emomali Rahmon reportedly gave specific instructions to the officials to use high-quality domestic materials for construction and to put it into operation at a high level and quality within two years.
Emomali Rahmon and Rustam Emomali today also laid foundation stone of the administrative building of the Ministry of Education and Science, which is being built in Dushanbe’s Shohmansour district.
The main building of the ministry reportedly consists of 18 floors and a basement. The facility will also have a separate two-story building, where a canteen with 420 seats and a spacious meeting hall with 640 seats will be built, which will be connected to the main building by a walkway.
The publishing center, technical and auxiliary rooms will be placed in the basement of the building. The new building will also accommodate the Republican Center for Identification and Developing of Talents, the Republican Center for Information and Communication Technologies, the Center for International Programs, the Academy of Education of Tajikistan, the State Unitary Enterprise "Education", the State Unitary Enterprise "Dushanbe Printing and Publishing Company", the Republican Center for Additional Training Institutions and other subordinate structures of the ministry, which are currently operating in every corner of the city.
This measure will significantly contribute to the improvement of working conditions.
It was reported that a total of 1.58 hectares of land has been allocated for the construction of the facility,
Emomali Rahmon reportedly gave specific assignments to put the building in commission within three years, to use high-quality domestic construction materials during the execution of works, and to pay special attention to the issue of greening and beautification of the surroundings of the building.
