The Tax Committee under the Government of Tajikistan has updated the mobile app "Andozi Man" ("My Taxes").  The app aims to simplify the state registration process for individual entrepreneurs and reduce human influence in administrative procedures.

Users can now obtain patents, certificates, and tax documents online, as well as calculate tax amounts and debts through the app, an official source with the Tax Committee told Asia-Plus in an interview.

Simplifying tax procedures

According to the source, the app was developed to simplify the state registration process for individual entrepreneurs and minimize human involvement in tax administration.

"With the increase in mobile app users in 2024, the Tax Committee has continued to enhance online services. The updated mobile applications and personal accounts have made the process of filing tax declarations easier and more convenient for citizens and entrepreneurs," the Tax Committee reported.

In 2024, the number of users of the "Andozi Man" app increased by 30%.

"Currently, over 50% of taxpayers use online services, making the tax payment process more transparent," the source stated.

How the "Andozi Man" app works

The "Andozi Man" app is available for download on Google Play and the App Store. Asia-Plus tested the app's new features but was unable to compare them with the previous version due to its unavailability.

Registration process

To use the app, you must register. If you already have a personal account on the andoz.tj website, you can log in with your existing credentials.

If not, registration requires providing an active phone number and entering a code received via SMS. Next, you’ll need to input your taxpayer identification number (TIN).

After registration, your name, address, and other personal information will appear in the app.  You’ll then need to add an email address and upload photos of your passport (a selfie and photos of both sides of the document).  Once registration is complete, you’ll receive an SMS with your login and password.

Features:

·         The main page displays your current tax debt or prepayment status.

·         The app includes a tax calculator and a calendar, enabling users to calculate various types of taxes and schedule their payments.

·         Upon login, information about your property, documents, and tax-related applications is already available.

·         Contact details and addresses of all tax offices are also accessible within the app.

One of the key new features is the ability to register as an individual entrepreneur.  Patents and certificates can now be obtained online directly through the app.
