KHUJAND, January 25, 2011, Asia-Plus -- 270 firearms were confiscated from local population in Sughd province in 2010, which is 15 firearms more than in 2009, according to the Sughd police directorate.
“Last year, local law enforcement authorities confiscated six assault rifles Kalashnikov, 18 pistols, 32 rifles and 214 hunting guns from the population,” the source said.
