DUSHANBE, March 5, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Officers from the customs control at the Dushanbe airport on March 4 warded off an attempt by drug pushers to smuggle narcotics into Russia by plane, an official source at the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan said.
An inspection of passengers on the Dushanbe-Moscow flight found a package containing 661 grams of heroin hidden in a bag belonging to Tajik national A.I.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug peddler and an investigation is under way, the source said.
