DUSHANBE, November 28, 2012, Asia-Plus -- An operation carried out by officers from the Dushanbe police directorate on November 27 led to the arrest of a drug peddler.
According to the Interior Ministry’s official website, three packages containing two kilograms of heroin, two kilograms of hashish and 890 grams of raw opium were found hidden in Mercedes belonging resident of Khatlon province.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against alleged drug pusher under the provisions of Article 200 (4) of Tajikistan’s Pena Code – drug trafficking; an investigation is under way.
