DUSHANBE, February 27, 2013, Asia-Plus -- Twenty-three chiefs of departments, training specialists, inspectors and experts from Border Guard/Migration Services, Customs, Phyto-Sanitary, Veterinary and Sanitary-Epidemiology Services from Central Asia participate in a five-day training-of-trainers course, press release issued by the European Union (EU) Delegation to Tajikistan said.
The training session has been organized by the EU-UNDP Border Management Program in Central Asia (BOMCA) jointly with the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).
Future trainers/instructors will be trained by two experienced trainers from the European Union in improving their training skills. Participants will exchange best practices. During theoretical and practical parts of the training participants will enhance their communication and presentation skills, teaching methods, as well as planning of presentations and lessons for future trainings within their respective agencies.
The overall objectives of BOMCA are to help increase security in the Central Asian region, to contribute toward the facilitation of legitimate trade and transit, and to reduce the illicit movement of goods and people.
The BOMCA Program is funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP with ICMPD as an implementing partner.
