DUSHANBE, January 13, 2015, Asia-Plus -- A large amount of hashish has reportedly been detained in Dushanbe.
The Interior Ministry’s website reports that three residents of Khatlon province (one of them is from the Hamadoni district and two others are from the city of Kulob) were detained in Dushanbe on suspicion of drug trafficking on January 12.
Several packages of narcotic drug that tested positive to hashish weighing 27.10 kilograms were confiscated from them.
On the same day, a resident of the city of Norak was detained in the Fayzobod district on suspicion of drug pushing. 1.093 kilograms of hashish were confiscated from him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug peddlers and an investigation is under way.
