DUSHANBE, May 27, 2015, Asia-Plus – President Emomali Rahmon yesterday attended an official opening of a mountain training ground that is located in the Marghob area of the Romit Gorge, not far from the Vahdat Township.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, servicemen of the Tajik armed forces and special units will conduct exercises at this training ground to rehearse carrying out combat missions in mountain terrain.
All necessary conditions for long-term deployment and organization of military mountaineering courses are created at this training ground.
A joint military exercise for units of the Interior Ministry of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Public Security of China will be conducted at this training ground soon.
The training ground is reportedly fit for conducting large-scale exercises.
