Dushanbe. 1 September. “Asia Plus” -- The total damage from occurring in July in Tajikistan natural disasters is estimated at 3 billion somoni. This was announced by theTajik President Emomali Rakhmon, speaking on Monday in Kulyab State University named after Rudaki.
He noted that due to the sharp warming of weather and the melting of glaciers in GBAO and other regions of the country there were natural disasters.
Rahmon with regret noted that these disasters led to the loss of lives and caused significant material damage.
"According to experts, the damage caused to the country is estimated at 3 billion somoni and for the reclamation work, especially the bank protection, in the coming years will be needed 3 billion somoni," - said the president.
Meanwhile, E. Rakhmon warned that "there is a possibility of coming cold autumn and winter period." "According to the observations and national experience, after a hot summer usually comes long and cold winter", - he said.
The President once again called on the population of the country to stock up with food, which would be enough for two years.
