DUSHANBE, September 29, 2015, Asia-Plus -- More than 200 Tajik border guards have taken a three-month warrant officer basic course.
According to the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) press center, an official ceremony of handing over certificates to the 200 graduates took place on September 26.
The ceremony was reportedly attended by Saymumin Yatimov, Head of the SCNS, Rajabali Rahmonali, Commander of the Tajik Border Troops, Vadim Mitreykin, Head of the Operational Border Group of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) deployed in Tajikistan, as well parents and relatives of young warrant officers.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan (MoD) has its own Warrant Officers’ Training School that was officially opened in Dushanbe in February last year and the first 100 servicemen finished it in May 2014.
The Warrant Officers’ Training School reportedly provides training to become a warrant officer in the Tajik Army in the following military specialties: company sergeant major; armored vehicle shooter; depot officer; air mechanic; radio station officer; and anti-aircraft team commander.
Skilled specialists teach at the Warrant Officers’ Training School, which provides a four-month training course.
