DUSHANBE, March 18, 2016, Asia-Plus -- Resident of Khatlon’s Hamadoni district, which borders Afghanistan, has been detained with a large amount of hashish in Khatlon’s Vose district.
According to the Interior Ministry’s website, a 32-year-old resident of Hamadoni district was detained in Vose district on suspicion of drug trafficking on March 18.
A package of narcotic drug that tested positive to hashish weighing 9.570 kilograms was confiscated from him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the alleged drug trafficker and an investigation is under way, the source said.
