DUSHANBE, June 22, 2016, Asia-Plus -- 200 graduates of the Military Institute at the Ministry of Defense (MoD) have been given military rank of Lieutenant and received their diplomas this year, an official source at a MoD told Asia-Plus in an interview.
According to him, young officers will be sent to military garrisons across the country.
Established in 1993, the Military Institute of the Ministry Defense of Tajikistan reportedly trains officers in 15 military disciplines. The Military Institute alumni now constitute more than 70 percent of the commissioned staff of the country’s armed forces.
