It is expected Izzat Amon, head of the Center for Tajiks in Moscow and one of the defenders of the rights of labor migrants, to be pardoned and released. This was reported to Asia-Plus by Saidburkhon Sharipov, Izzat Amon's lawyer.
He said that almost all of the plaintiffs' debts have been paid and that next week he will apply for amnesty.
According to him, only 12.5 thousand somoni remain to be paid, which, due to the remoteness of the plaintiffs' location, they cannot return.
The lawyer did not say exactly how many debts were paid, only noted that apart from these two remaining debts, all other debts were repaid.
