Officers from Uzbekistan’s State Security Service (SSS) have seized about 90 kilograms of narcotic drugs at the Uzbek-Tajik border Podrobno.uz reported on October 28.
An operation carried out by officers of SSS’s office in Surkhandarya region jointly with border troops has resulted in the seizure of a large consignment of narcotic drugs, according to Podrobno.uz.
“Four knapsacks containing about 90 kilograms of narcotic drugs smuggled out of Tajikistan have been discovered at one of stretches of the Uzbek-Tajik border passing through Chashma village in Sariasiya district of Uzbekistan’s Surkhandarya region, the SSS press center was quoted as saying.
