The government of Tajikistan has approved regulations governing the import and sale of military and special uniforms for law enforcement and security agencies.
According to a document published on the Ministry of Justice's legal information portal, such products will be imported by the Agency for Special Property Supply under the Government of Tajikistan.
The regulations stipulate that specialized clothing items will be sold at designated points organized by the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Emergency Committee, Ministry of Justice’s Penitentiary Department, Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security, National Guard, and the Agency for Special Property Supply.
Purchases at these points will require an official ID or a confirming certificate.
Failure to comply with the regulations will result in legal consequences for individuals and entities under the country's laws.
It is noteworthy that over 4.7 billion somonis (more than US$430 million) has been allocated in the 2025 budget for defense, law enforcement, and judiciary structures—approximately 10% of next year's budget expenditures.
