KULOB, February 9, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Labor migrants remitted 5,241,918 U.S. dollars to branches of six banks in Khatlon’s Kulob region last month, which is US$849,729 more than in January 2010, Abdukarim Nematov, head of the branch of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) in Kulob, said.
Besides, 111,141,423 Russian rubles (RR) were remitted by labor migrants to local banks last month, which is 59,802,362 rubles more than in January 2010, Nematov added.
