DUSHANBE, February 11, 2011, Asia-Plus -- There is no any political force, including political religious party, that could overthrow the constitutional order in Tajikistan by force, the Social-Democratic Party (SDP) leader Rahmatillo Zoirov said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
Commenting on the statement made by President Emomali Rahmon at the Security Council meeting on February 10, he noted that “the authorities ought not to confuse terrorism with any manifestation of extremism, whether it is secular or religious extremism.”
“The notion “extremism” itself means that one or another political force takes an extreme position on a number of issues in society. In such cases, the authorities must ask themselves why such a situation has emerged,” Zoirov stressed.
He noted that his party had opinion of its own of many issues regarding political life in the country and it tried to persist in its opinion. “This position also can be interpreted as extremism,” the SDP leader said.
