KONIBODOM, July 5, 2011, Asia-Plus -- A chess competition among people with disabilities started in the Tajik northern city of Konibodom on July 5, Abdufayoz Sharipov, head of Konibodom Association of People with Disabilities, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
More than 60 elderly people and people with disabilities are participating in the contest that is dedicated to Day of Elderly and People with Disabilities, which is marked in Tajikistan annually on July 8.
The winners will be awarded with valuable gifts and extraordinary grants will be provided to the most vulnerable elderly people and people with disabilities, Sharipov said.
