DUSHANBE, October 14, 2011, Asia-Plus -- A pilot vocational training project of Tajikistan’s Migration Service and Russia’s Federal Migration Service (FMS) has been launched at the vocational technical school under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection in Dushanbe.

According to the Migration Service under the Government of Tajikistan, the project will support the Government’s efforts to improve vocational skills of Tajik labor migrants.

The project provides for organizing five-month training courses on gas-and-electric welding, turning work and electrical mounting and repair.

“In all, 100 Tajik nationals are expected to take the mentioned training courses,” said the source, “Besides, the training course participants will also study the Russian language under the special program.”  The training courses will also make available information related to the legal, social, and cultural realities of Russia.

The cost of the five-month training course is 85 U.S. dollars, the source added.
