QURGHON TEPPA, January 25, 2012, Asia-Plus -- A meeting of chairpersons of cities and districts in Khatlon province and heads of local law enforcement agencies, presided over by Tajik chief prosecutor Sherkhon Salimzoda, took place in Qurghon Teppa on January 24.
Speaking at the meeting, the prosecutor-general reportedly expressed concern about the increasing cases of violation of the land legislation in the province, especially in the Vakhsh district. “The Vakhsh district chairman Shodi Mousoyev was dismissed for numerous cases of land law violation in the district,” Salimzoda noted.
He ordered local prosecutors to opportunely respond to the land law violations.
Tajik chief prosecutor reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that some local officials, against whom criminal proceedings have been instituted, still retain their jobs.
