DUSHANBE, December 30, 2012, Asia-Plus -- On Friday December 28, President Emomali Rahmon visited Dushanbe Boarding School # 1, which is Tajikistan’s largest boarding school.
According to the president’s official website, the president congratulated pupils and teachers on the upcoming New Year and handed over New Year’s gifts and warm clothes to pupils.
The boarding school is home for 557 children, including 37 children having neither farther nor mother, 414 children from one-parent families, and 106 children from vulnerable families.
The boarding school’s dormitory reportedly consists of nineteen bedrooms to accommodate 385 pupils.
All classes of Boarding School # 1 are provided with modern educational supplies and its two computer classes are connected to Internet, the source said.
