DUSHANBE, July 8, 2013, Asia-Plus – Senior representatives from the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs gave a news conference in Dushanbe on July 8 on the results of work carried out over the first six months of this year.
Kabirjon Jourayev, the first deputy head of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs, in particular, noted that only 10 percent of Tajik youth is now faced with serious difficulties while the others do not have serious problems. “Even if they have problems, they know that the government is currently not able to solve all the problems facing youth,” Jourayev said.
“Indeed, there are employment problems, but Tajikistan is currently not able to place 2.7 million youth in jobs,” Tajik official noted.
Asked about meetings of representatives of youth with the president, Jourayev said that it was not necessary for the youth representatives to meet with the president for solving problems facing local youth. “He [the president] has the government, ministries, ministers, city and district heads, who are official representatives of the president,” he added.
