DUSHANBE, August 16, 2013, Asia-Plus --The state-run newspaper Jumhuriyat is expected to be published every day beginning on January 1, 2014.
“We have many materials and the newspaper is not able to publish all of them in time, and therefore, we have decided to move to the daily publication,” Jumhuriyat deputy editor-in-chief, Atokhoja Mirkhoja, told Asia-Plus in an interview.
Established in 1924, Jumhuriyat is an official paper of the Government of Tajikistan. It is currently a thrice weekly newspaper. With a circulation of more than 31,000, Jumhuriyat is one of the most widely circulated papers in the country. It is written in the Tajik language.
