DUSHANBE, November 5, 2013, Asia-Plus – Access to Tajik online news portal Ozodagon (www.ozodago.com) and its Russian site (www.catoday.org) has been blocked by some Internet providers in Tajikistan on the eve of Tajikistan’s presidential election.
“Access to both sites of Ozodagon was blocked in the evening of November 4,” Director-General of the Ozodagon Media-Holding, Zafar Soufi, told Asia-Plus in an interview.
According to him, one of Internet providers said they had received instruction to block both sites of Ozodagon from the communications service agency. The State Communications Service reportedly also ordered to block access to YouTube.
