DUSHANBE, March 14, 2014, Asia-Plus – Tajikistan’s Hydro-meteorological Agency (Hydromet) warns of a sharp fall in the temperature and avalanche risks in the country from March 15 until March 17.
During two days, rains are expected in plains and snowfalls are expected in mountain areas.
In plains, day temperatures are expected to fall to +8ºC -- +10ºC.
Water level will rise in the Yakhsou, Qizilsou and Obikhingou rivers as well as in the rivers of Hisor (Gissar) Range. There is risk of avalanches on the southern slopes of Hisor (Gissar) Range, Hydromet said.
