Since the beginning of this year, the Russian authorities have permitted 225 deported Tajik migrants to return to Russia, according to the Tajik migration service agency. They were reportedly barred from returning for three years.
67 of them are residents of Dushanbe, 15 are residents of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), 36 are residents of Sughd province, 82 are residents of Khatlon province and 25 are from districts subordinate to the center.
All of them have real estate, sick relatives and family ties in Russia, an official source at the migration service agency told Asia-Plus in an interview.
Over the past two years, more than 7,000 Tajik nationals, who were deported from Russian for violation of rules of stay, have been allowed to return to Russia under support of the Tajik migrations service agency, the source added.
