Residents of apartment buildings in Dushanbe are banned from using gas cylinders.
According to the Dushanbe fire department, the ban applies to the residential buildings having five or more stories.
Karomat Abdulloyev, a spokesman for the Dushanbe fire department, says the ban on using gas cylinders in apartment buildings is introduced for the purpose of preventing fires.
“In the event of violation of the ban, residential customers will be fined 200.00 somoni (equivalent to little more than 25.00 USD) and officials will be fined 800.00 somoni,” Abdulloyev said.
