Internews Tajikistan invites media, non-government organizations and IT-specialists from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to participate in the 3rd Media and Social Innovation Lab that will take place in Dushanbe from May 21-23, 2017.
The best online-projects will be awarded small grants of 1.500 U.S. dollars.
Representatives of media from Central Asia’s will be trained in covering social problems in new fashion, getting the public to participate in tackling social problems, creating modern tools for implementation of social initiatives.
In all, 27-30 participants will be invited to participate in the 3rd Media and Social Innovation Lab in Dushanbe.
The Media and Social Innovation Lab is the project that is being implemented in the framework of Internews’ program, Encouraging Access to Information, under support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Internews’ programs in Tajikistan encourage the production of informative journalism on critical social issues and promote ethical standards and legal protection for journalists.
The event is organized by Internews Tajikistan, Tcell, the Branch of Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation in Tajikistan, NGO Homa, and the Association of Independent Broadcasters and Audio/Video Product Producers.
