According to the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Dushanbe, more than 1,000 people took part in an annual worldwide Russian-language literacy test, dubbed "Total dictation", in Tajikistan on April 8.
They reportedly wrote the dictation this year at the Russian Center for Science and Culture, Tajik National University and Russian-Tajik Slavic University (RTSU) in Dushanbe as well as at the Khujand State University in Sughd Province and the Khorog State University in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).
More than 200 people, aged 8 to 60, gathered for the dictation at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Dushanbe alone.
Total Dictation is an annual event that attracts thousands of participants and is organized all around the world. For the first time it was held by a student club of Novosibirsk State University in 2004.
