Chairman of the Board of Directors of the State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) Tajik Aluminum Company (TALCO), Sherali Kabirov, has been elected to head the Triathlon Federation that has been established in the country recently.  

A constituent assembly of the Tajikistan Triathlon Federation took place in Dushanbe on November 28 and Sherali Kabirov was elected to head the Federation, according to the official website of Tajikistan’s National Olympic Committee (NOC).

The Tajik Aluminum Company, abbreviated as TALCO, runs the largest aluminum smelter in Central Asia, and is Tajikistan's chief industrial asset. 

A triathlon is a multisport race with three continuous and sequential endurance races.  While variations of the sport exist, the most common form includes swimming, cycling, and running over various distances. Triathletes compete for fastest overall course completion, including timed transitions between the three races.
