By decision of the Executive Board of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Tajikistan changes have been made to the list of athletes receiving monthly grants in the framework of training for the 2020 Summer Olympics that will take place in Tokyo, Japan.  

Boxers Bahodur Usmonov (men’s) and Niloufar Boboyorova (women’s) were included in the list on December 31.

According to the NOC press center, Usmonov will receive US$950.00 per month and Boboyorova will receive US$200.00 per month.

Recall, the NOC Board in late 2018 allocated 120,000 U.S. dollars for training of fifteen Tajik athletes for Tokyo Olympics.  These athletes are receiving monthly grants from January 2019 through August 2020.

After Usmonov and Boboyorova were included in the list, a total amount allocated for 17 athletes increased to 165,000 U.S. dollars.  Usmonov and Boboyorova will receive monthly grants from January 2020 through August 2020.   

Recall, Dilshod Nazarov (athletics) is receiving 950 USD per month, Shahriyor Daminov (padding) – 800 USD, Komronshoh Ustopiriyon (judo) – 700 USD, Behrouz Khojazoda (judo) – 600 USD, Temour Rahimov (judo) – 500 USD, Somon Mahmadbekov (judo), Shohida Qalandarova (judo, women’s) and Mohrou Halimova (taekwondo, women’s) – 300 USD each, Shabbos Nematulloyev (boxing) – 350 USD, Karina Klimik (swimming, women’s), Manizha Madkarimova (taekwondo, women’s), Shoira Zulqainarova (boxing, women’s), Gulsunbi Sharifova (athletics, women’s), Saidjon Gulov (freestyle wrestling) and Suhrob Abdulkhayev (Greco-Roman wrestling) – 200 USD each.

Besides, NO Executive Board also approved monthly grants for alpine skiers Saifiddin Nizomiddin and Bahriddin Ghoibov in the framework of training for 2022 Winter Olympics that will be held in Beijing, China.  They will receive 1,500 USD per month each.
