Tajikistan’s Ambassador to the United States Farhod Salim and Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of Tajikistan Davlatsho Gulmahmadzoda have been recognized with Wild Sheep Foundation (WSF) awards, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
The 2020 Sheep Show took place in Reno City, U.S. Nevada State from January 16 to January 18, 2020.
The event was reportedly organized for the purpose of recognizing separate persons for their achievements in developing and increasing the population of wild sheep.
Ambassador Farhod Salim was recognized with International Wildlife Conservation Ambassador Award for his diplomatic achievements in developing relationships on the conservation of wild sheep.
Davlatsho Gulmahmadzoda, who heads Tajikistan’s Committee for Environmental Protection, was recognized with International Conservation Statesman Award for professional achievements in the conservation of wild sheep in the country.
The Wild Sheep Foundation recognizes a government official for his/her outstanding contributions to the wild sheep at the national level of the country the person is from.
The Wild Sheep Foundation Convention and Sporting Expo better known as "The Sheep Show" is the premier outdoor and mountain hunting expo. The exhibit hall features more than 400 exhibits of the finest guides and outfitters from North America and around the globe plus top of the line retailers selling gear, guns, art, taxidermy, jewelry, furs and every other outdoor item.
The Wild Sheep Foundation reportedly directs more than $4.3 million annually to wild sheep conservation and other mission programs.
