A regular sitting of the Republican Commission for Prevention of the Further Spread of COVID-19, presided over by Prime Minister, Qohir Rasoulzoda, took place in Dushanbe on June 2.
It was noted during the meeting that in May alone, the number of labs for implementing COVID diagnostic test increased in Dushanbe from one to four that allowed carrying out more than 15,600 PRC-based tests.
The meeting participants noted that the labs for implementing COVID diagnostic test launched in Khujand, Bokhtar and Kulob would allow improving the situation with detection of the disease in the country.
Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda ordered to open the labs for implementing COVID diagnostic test in all large cities and districts of the country as soon as possible, according to the Health Ministry press center.
The Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population, Jamoliddin Abdullozoda, reported on the current COVID-19 situation in the country and measures taken to stop the further spread of the disease.
According to him, the COVID-19 situation is under control and the number of the confirmed COVID-19 case is decreasing. On average, more than 300-400 people are being discharged from the hospital daily, the minister added, the Health Ministry press center says.
