When the prisoners will be able to see their relatives is still unknown.
For the sixth month in all prisons in Tajikistan, in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, prisoners are not allowed to meet with relatives.
«It is currently unknown when prisoners will be allowed to see their relatives. All this is done for the health of prisoners. As soon as the situation in the country improves, relatives will be allowed to visit them. No specific date yet», - said a source in the Main Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sentences of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatajikistan.
He also added that at the moment there are almost no patients with pneumonia in correctional facilities, and all the requirements and recommendations of doctors are being followed.
