2 097 435 citizens have been vaccinated against coronavirus infection in Tajikistan, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic reports.
To date, 1,077,100 of them have received the second dose of the vaccine.
In accordance with the decision of the Republican Headquarters to strengthen anti-epidemic measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the country, vaccination of citizens against coronavirus over the age of 18 is mandatory.
Vaccination campaign among citizens over 18 years old began in Dushanbe on June 25.
Currently, the country uses vaccines "CoronaVac" produced by the company SinoVac, AstraZeneca supplied by Sweden, the Russian "Sputnik V" and the American Moderna.
The vaccine is provided to the citizens of the country free of charge.
