This year, 43,998 applicants entered the universities of the republic, 15,740 students entered colleges on the basis of 11 grades, and 7,745 thousand students with general basic education (based on 9 grades).
Initially, 82,718 people applied for participation in the testing on the basis of grade 11, that is, applicants with general education and applicants with primary vocational and secondary vocational education. More than 13,000 people applied for admission among applicants with general basic education on the basis of 9 grades.
According to the Center for National Testing, among Tajik students, specialties of the first and second clusters (natural and technical, economics and geography) are less in demand, and the fifth cluster (medicine, biology and sports) is most in demand.
The most popular professional areas for young Tajiks are: Epidemiology, Taxation, Forensic Science. The competition in these specialties reaches more than 364 people, 388 people, more than 364 people per place.
