In the new academic year, 117 teachers from Russia will teach in schools in Tajikistan. Last academic year there were 73 of them, the Russian House in the republic reports.
The first teachers – participants of the international project of the Ministry of Education of Russia “Russian teacher abroad” – have already arrived at schools in Tajikistan. Russian language and subjects in Russian will be taught to the children.
The project covers 27 schools in 13 cities and towns of Tajikistan.
“Russian teachers, in addition to direct teaching activities, conduct additional education projects in schools, are engaged in vocational guidance for schoolchildren, preparation for Olympiads. Moreover, they, together with national teachers, conduct research in the field of pedagogy and participate in the creation of educational and methodological complexes. This is a huge job that helps bring our education systems closer together,” - said Sergey Malyshev, Head of the Center for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Education of Russia.
Tajikistan became the first country in which the implementation of the humanitarian project “Russian teacher abroad” began. In the 2019/2020 academic year, the first 48 teachers from Russia arrived in the Republic at the invitation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan. Over the years, the project has become an integral part of Tajikistan's educational system.
