As part of the Safe Migration of Seasonal Workers from Central Asia to the United Kingdom project, supported by the UK’s Department for International Development, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) has developed a free online financial literacy course specifically designed for labor migrants.
Created in partnership with the Smarthub platform, the course aims to provide practical knowledge and skills in finance and helps returning migrants successfully integrate into their communities by managing their finances effectively.
This initiative addresses the financial challenges faced by many returning migrants by offering essential tools to ensure financial stability, create sustainable income sources, and make a positive contribution to the local economy.

The course is available in Tajik and can be taken at any convenient time from any device. It includes practical modules on the following topics:
- Effective personal and business budget management,
- Business plan development and success strategies,
- Implementing sustainable "green" practices for long-term development.
Upon completion of the course, participants will develop personalized business plans and gain the knowledge needed to make informed financial decisions. The course is fully online, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for those in need.
The course’s objectives go beyond simple learning. Migrants who successfully complete the financial literacy course will be fully prepared to develop their own projects and establish sustainable businesses to provide stable income for themselves and their families.
