The Tajikistan Premier League 2025 season has concluded, and alongside it, the highest-valued starting lineup for the championship has been established. According to Transfermarkt, the total market value of this top team amounts to 3.7 million euros.

The squad consists of one goalkeeper, four defenders, four midfielders, and three forwards, making it the most valuable formation of the season.

Goalkeeper:

·         Yevgeny Gritsenko (30 years old)250k EUR

Gritsenko’s reliability, experience, and consistency made him the most expensive goalkeeper of the season. In a league where goalkeepers are often underrated, Gritsenko maintained his leadership.

Defenders:

·         Sodiqjon Qurbonov (22)300k EUR --- Qurbonov is the leader among defenders, a young, versatile player with huge potential.

Notably, the age balance stands out: the top 11 includes both 18-year-old Qahhorov and players nearing 30, indicating a healthy development in the league and the steady growth of its leaders’ market value.

 

2025 season recap:

In the 2025 season, Istiqlol of Igor Cherevchenko claimed the championship for the 14th time, finishing first with 50 points, 15 wins, and 58 goals—the best performance in the league.

Vakhsh under Zarif Usmonov finished second with 45 points, 33 goals, and a solid defense, confirming the progress made under his leadership.

CSKA led by Tokhir Mumonov rounded out the top three with strong second-half performances, securing third place after overtaking Ravshan and Khujand.

Ravshan (35 points) under Dmitry Chernyshev and Khujand (31 points) under Alexander Krestinin finished fourth and fifth, respectively, with Khujand having one of the league’s top scorers.

Regar-TadAZ (30 points) and Eskhata (30 points) finished tied for sixth, showing both bright victories and unexpected setbacks throughout the season.

Barqchi finished eighth (27 points), while Khosilot came ninth (24 points).

At the bottom of the table, two teams were relegated: Istaraavshan (19 points) and Hulbuk (13 points), along with Panjsher (12 points), despite showing flashes of brilliance, finishing among the worst in defense and ball possession.

 

Top scorers:

The top scorer of the season was Pol Komolafe from Nigeria, who netted 12 goals for Khujand and Istiqlol. He was followed by Rustam Soirov with 10 goals, and both Kwado Frimpong (Ghana) and Dmitry Bilonog (Ukraine) with 8 goals each.

 

Looking ahead:

The 2025 season is not officially over for the champions, as Istiqlol will face Goa in the AFC Champions League group stage on December 24, with a crucial win needed to stay in contention for the knockout stages.
