Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi arrived in St. Petersburg.
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin greeted Berlusconi at St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport.
Berlusconi has arrived on a private visit, which also includes a business component, Putin’s press service said.
Berlusconi and Putin plan to discuss bilateral investment projects, trade and economic relations, as well as energy projects and cooperation with third parties.
“Tomorrow the three of us, including the prime minister of Turkey, we will have an opportunity to discuss it [South Stream], Putin said at a meeting with Berlusconi.
He recalled that Russia was cooperating with Italian ENI under the South Stream project.
