The fifth aircraft of Iran carrying humanitarian aid for the quake-hit people in Syria landed at Damascus International Airport on February 9, according to IRNA.
The aircraft reportedly transited 45 tons of medical and food aid to Syria.
IRNA notes that the fourth aid package arrived in Aleppo Airplane Wednesday (February 8) night.
Iran's Consul General in Aleppo Salman Navab Nouri told IRNA on February 8 the aid includes six pallets of tents, three pallets of date, 15 pallets of rice, three pallets of tuna fish, two pallets of spaghetti and tomato paste.
Media reports say the death toll from Turkiye-Syria earthquakes passed 21,000 on February 9. 17,674 people had died in Turkey and 3,377 in Syria from Monday’s 7.8-magnitude tremor, bringing the confirmed total to 21,051.
