TOLOnews tweeted on July 15 that Russia's Ambassador to Afghanistan, Dmitry Zhirnov, have met in Kabul with the acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), Amir Khan Muttaqi.
Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, a deputy spokesperson for Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry, reportedly said on Twitter that during the meeting, the holding of the upcoming Moscow format meeting was discussed, and the acting foreign minister said that the Moscow Format meeting plays a crucial role in bringing regional coordination.
Muttaqi reportedly asked the Russian ambassador to facilitate visas for Afghan businessmen and citizens.
