“Unistream” stops transfers to and from Tajikistan in dollars and euros and will only work with rubles, unclaimed funds in foreign currency must be collected by customers by September 30. This was reported in the press service of the money transfer system, reports TASS.
"Unistream stops issuing and sending in euro and US dollars to and from Tajikistan. If you previously sent a transfer that was not received for any reason, in euro or dollar currencies from Tajikistan or to Tajikistan, apply for a refund of the transfer before September 30, 2023 to the bank for sending the transfer," the message in the official “Unistream” group on “VKontakte” says.
The message also notes that after September 30, the return of the transfer sent in the dollar and euro currencies will not be possible.
On July 20, the US authorities imposed sanctions against five Russian credit institutions, including the “Unistream” system.
At the end of July, the National Bank of Tajikistan reported that transfers under this system are now possible only in rubles.
