Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon will travel to Kyrgyzstan on March 12 for a two-day state visit, the Tajik Foreign Ministry reported.

According to the ministry, the visit will focus on bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as other issues of mutual interest.

Following the meeting of heads of state, a package of documents will be signed, though the specifics have not been disclosed.

It is worth noting that on February 21, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan initialed draft agreements on the delimitation and demarcation of their shared border during a meeting in Bishkek.

On February 27, Kamchybek Tashiyev, head of Kyrgyzstan’s State Committee for National Security (GKNB), explained the details of the agreement during a parliamentary session, including territorial exchanges between the two countries.

The Tajik side has yet to comment on the specifics of the agreements.
